Holiday accommodation and bushwalks, set in an extensive private nature reserve near Huonville in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. This multi award winning, carbon positive eco-village, offers a choice of contemporary, self contained cabins, deluxe tipees and private campsites against an inspiring backdrop of Tasmanian native forest. Just 50 minutes drive south of Hobart, we offer a true retreat in a peaceful and secluded environment with a 5km bush walking track network, an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep and a sample of the fine food and wine of the Huon Trail region.

Massage

On-site massages available on request for an additional cost. We will arrange for a local masseuse to come to your cabin for that little bit extra luxury.

THE DRVGNFIT PLANT-STRONG RETREAT INCLUDES:

 

  • 2 nights in your own eco-cabin (self-contained) or teepee (toilet/shower amenities 1min away).

  • Camping also available (BYO tent, sleeping bags etc)

  • If no accommodation required (ie live locally), or you would like to arrange your own nearby accommodation please let us know and a work-shop only price will be arranged.

  • Whole Food Plant based Gluten Free Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner. Prepared communally.

  • Tea and coffee making facilities

  • 2 x 30 minute group personal training sessions

  • 1 x one-on-one PT session

  • Nutrition workshops, including meal prep, and planning

"We offer a true retreat in a peaceful and secluded environment with accommodation for couples and families, including self-contained studio and two bedroom cabins, tipees and campgrounds, a 5km bush walking track network, an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep and a sample of the fine food and wine of the Huon Trail region. You will be surrounded by wildlife of all sorts, including birds, mammals, arthropods and reptiles"

CLOSEST AIRPORT

Fly into Hobart Airport, The retreat is approximately an hour and 15min drive south west. 

Eco-friendly facilities include carbon neutral wood heating, natural water and composting toilets. Electricity is 12-volt solar, there is no 240 volt electricity. Phones and cameras can be charged at reception. A CD player and radio is provided. Rooms are free from technology such as TV, WiFi, phones, aircon, electric blankets, microwaves and hairdryers. Most Telstra and Optus mobile phones work fine. Water comes from natural sources. We do not add any chemicals. Each cabin and the camp kitchen are equipped with sub-micron filters that the manufacturers say remove 99.99% of all known organisms.

5. Doctor Vegan Fit will send you a Registration form after receiving payment to understand your goals, dietary preferences and aims for the retreat. 

HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE?

This program is perfectly suited to complete beginners to fitness and plant based/vegan nutrition.


A medical clearance certificate is required from your GP if you have a medcial condition that may be affected by exercise or diet. 

CAMPING

Huon Bush Retreats campground is not your average campground. We offer unpowered tent, campervan and camper trailer sites in an extensive habitat reserve with modern, spacious amenities, all the equipment you’ll need to cook up a storm, a five kilometre network of bushwalks and the opportunity for an outdoor bath under the stars.

Each tent site is private and surrounded by Huon Bush Retreat’s protected native forest. Individual campervan sites provide level parking for a comfortable nights sleep, are located close to amenities and are also surrounded by native bushland.
